Come on in...
I announced the shop opening this morning on twitter (which begs the question, are you following me on there yet? I'd love you to!) and have already sold a few things- thank you so much kind ladies!
There's just a little smattering in there so far, but lots more to come. I'll be posting updates here ever so often and I put a little mini-shop on the sidebar there -----> so you can see new things as they pop up. It feels nice to be back in business!

I may be ready to open shop today, but I'm beginning to realize it's probably not going to happen within daylight hours. Still so many photos to edit, items to measure, descriptions to write... So, I thought instead I'll give you a little sneak peek at what is to come and by this evening, or early tomorrow morn, you'll be able to shop shop away!
Oh, and just so you know, all orders will include a vintage photograph from my ever expanding collection as a little thank you gift. They're so fun to look at!

This morning I woke up to a throat that feels like crappity scrappity scratchy terror. I think I'm on the verge of getting sick. So I'm drinking throat tea with honey and bundling up in the Pendelton wool robe I scored this weekend.
But as I groggily and resentfully started going through my emails, I found a very special one! A forward of the Buss Buss newsletter (from wonderful Renee) in which Miss Modish was the star!
What the? Miss Modish is the DailyBuss? Yay!
Big thumbs up! And a high five too! Guess I better get to back to listing new items in the shop, hmm? As long as I don't have to change out of this robe allllll day.

It's been a busy week round Miss Modish land! But I'm happy to say that the first round of orders are sent out and all is going pretty darn well so far.
I feel really happy to have a little shop again! I didn't realize how much I missed it until that moment I got my first order. It's so exciting and fulfilling! Along with the feedback I've been receiving from all you wonderfully supportive people, and seeing my big mug show up on blogs! (Thank you Kate, Caroline, Amy & Lindsay!) It's fun to be on the otherside of the coin again- instead of just writing about shops I like all day long, I get to run one too!
I have many more items to list, many more photos to take, much more dressing up to do. And I'm having a lot of fun along the way.
Thanks again for all the kindness you've shown me. I appreciate all you readers/shoppers/supporters so much and you've made this one of the best weeks ever!

Hip hip hooray! Miss Modish Vintage is now open on etsy! Check out the shop at: missmodish.etsy.com. I'll be adding more items throughout the rest of the week. And the week after that. And the week after that. And so it goes, if things go well! :)

Well, with the unexpected road trip and all, I didn't quite make my Nov 4th shop opening date. I still have quite a bit more to do before I can open- many many more pictures to take and edit, which is probably the most time consuming part- then measuring everything, writing descriptions and getting it all listed in the shop!
I only have a few items with edited photos so far, but thought I could share them with you for a little sneak peek. I think I have almost 100 things to list at this point, so this is just a smidgen of what will be available in the Miss Modish shop....
I'll have lots of skirts and dresses, a couple awesome long 60's jackets that I can't wait to show you, lots of cardigans and blouses galore. Not doing shoes or accessories at this point, but that will come once I get the ball rolling a bit. I can't wait to have it open, start sending out orders, and fall back into the rhythm of it all. I sure hope some things sell! It's a bit scarrryyy, isn't it?
I plan on working on the shop for most of this weekend and hope to have enough goodies in there for a grand opening by Nov 16th. What about you? Plans for the weekend? Hopefully they involve more play and less work than mine! :)
