Handmade Spaces: Dear Kiki

Not everyone is lucky enough to have an entire room dedicated to their creative space. I have an office all to myself now, but years ago my jewelry business started on the coffee table in the middle of our living room, and my current photo-shoot area for my vintage clothing business is in the entryway of our house (it has the best light!) When you have don't have a room to spare, you have to make the best space with what you've got. And that's exactly why I was drawn to this bedroom/art studio of Dear Kiki, a great San Francisco based artist.

Isn't that desk right in the window great? You could definitely get some creative work done there! See what goodness Kiki cooks up here over in her shop, Dear Kiki.

Handmade Spaces: Danita Art

Danita Art is an etsy favorite for a reason- she makes incredibly adorable original art, dolls, hand-painted boxes, jewelry and more all with a style that is instantly recognizable as her own. Her etsy location is mysteriously deemed "the blue room" and now we can all see what she means by that with a peek into her beautiful (and blue) studio!

Oh, there's been some lovely additions to the Handmade Spaces flickr pool lately. I haven't featured a handmade space in awhile but it's not because great new ones aren't popping up all the time in the group flickr pool, it's just because I'm a slacker and I phased it and I've been really busy lately, oi! So, I thought I better make up for it with this really cute little pottery studio of Tasha McKelvey. Here, she creates her precious and unique pottery and ceramic jewelry. Moonstitches is the online moniker of Alexandra, a German crafter living in Japan. She has a beautiful blog featuring glimpses into her life in Japan and her creative pursuits- she has lots of fun tutorials there too if you're interested. I was instantly smitten with her space when I saw it in the Modish Handmade Spaces pool, simple and uncluttered with lots of colorful fabric to covet along the way. Let's get a closer look!
