I haven't done a color me happy post in a long time, and I've missed them so. What better way to resurrect the column than with some shimmery, shiny, easily distracting goodies?
1: gold quartz druzy necklace 2: book darts (these are so cool!) 3: vintage 60's sunglasses
4: vertebrae bracelet 5: limited edition vintage nail shades 6: velvet panel top
Oh teal, you've stolen my heart. And my wall. I love you the most in your deepest, darkest moments...even then, you still seem to glow.

Coco Before Chanel had me craving blue and white stripes but I really don't wear much blue- so once I saw this Samantha Pleet dress on Bona Drag, I knew my stripey prayers had been answered. Red and white stripes, of course! So much more me. They're not just for that Saved by the Bell episode where Kelly & Lisa dress up as candy-stripers anymore...

I do love me some green and since I seem to have forgotten to actually wear any today (I have green eyes, I'm covered right? :) I had to put a little dose of green on here in honor of St Patrick's Day. And this luscious springy green, so fresh and pretty, is definitely one of my favorite shades...

Florals are back with a vengeance this season in bold and bright colors,
and I love it so. You can wear them all spring and summer long, but I
especially like them right now, in this moment where spring is trying
its darnedest to emerge but winter still has a (dreary, cold) grip on
things. Wearing a vibrant, fun floral is like saying to
nature, "I'm ready when you are, dear spring! Hope to see you soon!"

Hot Pink earrings at Hands Up Not Handouts*
*ps: Hands Up Not Handouts is a really cool site supporting female artists from around the world. Right now they have friendship bracelets handmade in Palestine and the earrings above (which come in lots of great colors) were handmade in Rwanda. All the proceeds from sales go directly back to the artisans and their families helping them create self-sustaining businesses. I have a pair of these earrings in purple- they're super vibrant and wonderful in person!
Well, I'm not sure if I should call this color "mint" or "seafoam" or "light aqua", but whatever it is, it gives me happy vibes and I think it's an excellent color to incorporate into your wardrobe this spring. It feels so fresh and girly. I don't own anything in this shade tho yet- do you?
