La Blogotheque is a French blog about music, I think. I don't know, I took Spanish in school. What I do know is that they have a whole section of these amazing "take away shows" where they film some of today's best independent musicians singing around the streets, parks and balconies of Paris (and some are in NY and Seattle and SF and other places too...) They are really intimate, spontaneous and compelling, even if you've never heard of the band before. And getting to see bits of the amazing cities in the background along the way sure doesn't hurt.
Tons tons more to see here along with really interesting commentary about the bands and what they're like and how they act in the settings... it's in french, of course, but handy google can translate it for you. It's a time suck, beware! {via flavorpill}

Oh yes, this blog is amazing. I love Beirut's wandering through the streets with instruments, trash can drums... Also fleet foxes's acoustic is perfection.

have you seen the one of Sufjan Stevens on a roof in Cincinnati? It's maybe 2-ish year old now, but it's great!
