The Cosa Verde Earth Day Giveaway!

I love the Brown Organic Linen 9-Patch Pocket Tote Bag from sheree's atelier. It is not only lovely, but made using sustainable processes and materials, including organic linen and cotton scraps.

I could wax poetic for days about tickled pink knits. Everything in the shop is lovely, and I want it all. But let's stick to the Jasmine Green Tea Shrug. It's gorgeous, the drape is lovely, and it would be incredibly flattering on just about anyone. It's also organic, vegan, handmade, conflict-free, and fair-trade. In other words, in every possible way it makes my progressive heart go pitter-patter. I'd better start saving my silver pennies, because I am sure this shrug is from fairyland.

Could the spring willow scarf from designs by erin be any more ethereal or lovely? I doubt it. And since it is made using sustainable materials and a sustainable process (handknitting) it could hardly be any more sustainable, either.

Who knew old recycled zippers could be so lovely? The Royal Blue and Brown Wrist Corsage made by megan leone from repurposed materials is absolutely charming and covetable.

The Ginkgo Leaf Mobile from western art glass could be straight from the 1920s, except that it is made from reclaimed bottle glass. Even though glass is easily recycled, much of it is thrown away instead; kudos to western art glass to salvaging beer bottles for their glass (and for using lead free solder).

Mitchell glasswork's smooshed Large Wine Bottle Cheese Plate is not only recycled, it is recyclable. So if it breaks, you can just toss it in the green bin and get another one. It's green forwards and backwards, and a great conversation piece. What's not to love?

What an awesome round up of talent. We live in a great time where such amazing artists can get this kind of exposure. If I had to pick one favorite, it would be the hymnal garland. It is so feminine and simplistic, I'd love to drape it over a soorway in my cottage!

curlymonkey's Blue bird organic baby hat is not only 100% certified organic, but it's fair trade, too. So it's cute, good for the earth, and good for the earth's people.

Little Batch Botanicals' Sandalwood Fig Hand and Body Skin Cream sounds dreamy, not only because of the scent, but because it is vegan, paraben-free, cruelty-free, and comes and recyclable packaging.

I have fallen in love with the Kids Journal @ Nicopapergoods for the most simple reaso: my 2 and 1/2 year old loves drawing/painting/creating. I want to always promote that in her life. A fabulous handmade journal of her own is so dead on. Keeps her entertained with style without plugging in! Bonus = it is made from sourced childrens clothing as well as using eco friendly ways to put together a book. Well done!
