I'm not sure why one bothers with writing out resolutions that one will most likely fail to keep. Perhaps it keeps us sane? Gives us hope for the coming year that we'll actually do something worthwhile with our lives? So in effort to do something traditional for once, here are some of my work/blog related resolutions for the coming 2007. Feel free to comment and share some of your own resolutions for the year! And, Happy New Year to you all!!
Mo' Modish resolutions for 2007:
1. Get Modishoppe up and running and make it (one of) the most wonderfullest little online shops this side of the Dixie.
2. Keep on keeping on with Modish, find the great finds, expose the unexposed, unearth the buried treasures of the handmade world for all to see.
3. Dance more (yes, that's work related.)
4. Listen to more music while blogging instead of watching bad reality tv.
5. Quit the day job, someday, sooner rather than later, if all goes well with goal #1.
6. More yoga.
7. Get a dog (again, extremely vital to maintain the possibility of #1 being a success)
8. Keep up with the indie shopping directory and update it more than once every few months (sorry!!)
9. Get back to making jewelry and sell it at goal #1 and make lots of it if goal #5 pans out.
10. Move, to Portland. Or just somewhere, anywhere with an indie/craft/diy community of somesort.
11. Meet some of these people I write about in real life.
12. Follow thru with all the cool blog additions/ideas I have that I haven't yet had time to put into effect.
13. Take breaks to play with my cat more.
14. Continue to work my ass off.
15. Find and focus on the health benefits involved with the amount of coffee/cheese/chocolate/wine that I intake to get me through the day.
16. Keep smiling.
17. Realize that things will work out, and that I deserve it (no more self sabotage/bad thoughts/I can'ts)
18. Keep the office way more clean/organized.
19. Don't get so stressed out.
20. Keep you lovely readers entertained/inspired/spellbound/smiling/shopping indie for the year to come!
Happy New Year Jena! Best of luck with #1 - and the rest of the list! :)

modish! thank you *so so much* (truly) for linking to me! i read your site at every update, and love your finds...your goals sound excellent for the year to come...
music instead of reality tv :: i've been listening to jose gonzales a lot lately, super mellow, might need something upbeat to mix with, but i love! ;)

Hi Jena,
I also posted resolutions on my blog. Mostly I want to make my dream of a small crafty business a reality. Perhaps I should add a mention on Modish to my list as well? You've got a great list here. Can't wait to see what you come up with in 2007!

well, it's been a great year for modish, in my opinion anyway. if you keep doing what you're doing, you'll have no complaints from me!

Lots of good vibes for your goals!! I especially empathise about topics: shop - yoga - cat - less stress :-)
My main goal is to convince myself that 2 of my 3 colleagues don't exist. Sad but true, I have to do it or I'll burn out from stress.
ciao from foggy and humid Northern Italy.
