SCAD? Is that bad?
SCAD doesn't sound like the most appealing place to find amazing handmade gifts, until you learn that SCAD stands for the Savannah College of Art and Design, and realize that the students, faculty and alumni of SCAD are incredibly talented. And, lucky for us, they have pooled their talent and design skills to create wonderful products that we can purchase at shopSCAD! Check out these colorful, square Melamine plates, for instance, that I discovered on Decor 8:

Made by the Working Class Studio, these plates are hip and very fun. Perfect for the last few summer BBQ's you'll be able to have, or for everyday dining to add some flair to any dish! I love Melamine too because it doesn't break (good for clumsy people such as myself!) Check out all the amazing goodies at shopSCAD and support its starving artists!

Those plates are just beautiful! Great find.
