SITE OF THE WEEK: Happy Owl Glassworks
This site has long since been one of my absolute favorite indie sites. Every piece I see from Happy Owl Glassworks incites long oohs and aahs. I'm glad I don't have any extra money, or else much of it would be spent here! (and Ikea, oh, and shopbop, and the Apple store...ok, i better stop now.) Each fused glass piece of art is handmade by the owner, Tracy, whose natural world inspirations are ever prevalent in her works, from kiwi birds to sloths to penguins. These inspirations take shape in many forms, such as pendants and cuff-links:
coasters and keepsake dishes:
and my personal favorite, these wonderful nightlights!
You can also peruse the Happy Owl Glassworks menagerie to see all the available animal designs used for the pendants. And hurry up, there's a sale on pendants, just $20 through the month of May! Don't let a darling elephant or seahorse necklace pass you by!

I bought the little owl dish for Mother's Day and it is totally sweet!

I got a greyhound pin from Crafters for Critters last year, and have been in love with everything in this shop ever since. I'm finding it strangely impossible to resist the kiwi!

Ooh la love... I love that line, I think I wrote about them for Trunkt once-upon-time.. At least I know they were on Trunkt and I used to write for Trunkt.
Hmm. Need another soy latte.
