A curious thing happened...
I just awoke from a horrible dream where I was in a different country in an apartment and there was an earthquake/hurricane or something awful and all our belongings were smashed and ruined and my boyfriend and I couldn't go home because of too many road closures (apparently, we were in driving distance foreign land?) and I was just scared and crazed and SO happy to wake up. Then, I came onto my home away from home, Typepad, and saw a comment on the Mi and L'au cd by my new discovery, the lovely Leya of Curious Bird. (See what one innocent little comment can do? Perhaps I will discover YOU too!) After checking out her site, I'm officially cheered up. The bright vintage fabrics of her handbags, pillows, totes and clothing have officially distracted me from my nightmare, but I was really drawn to this piece of art:
This collage set in a shadowbox frame decrees "Enjoy it while it lasts!" I will enjoy my day and my disaster free waking life in general, that's for sure. Made with various paper and fabrics, this little collage can keep you motivated to do all that you'd like to do with your days. I, for one, need to go drink some coffee and eat some breakfast, so enjoy this post while it lasts, and check out Curious Bird for more vintage and vintage inspired goodies!

I love her website as well. Thank you for posting all of these links, I've found so much good stuff through your site!
